Sunny & Andy’s verdant October wedding at The Renaissance St.Pancras was all about the foliage. The look was green, natural and informal but in the grand setting of the beautifully restored hotel.
I was in foliage heaven! We used all kinds of English seasonal foliages in various tones to create texture, depth and movement. I had carte blanche to go wild at the Flower market -joy!
From ferns, eucalyptus, berried ivy, heebee, snowberries, oak leaf and herbs like rosemary, the list celebrated all the beautiful Autumnal greenery we have around us. The flowers that we did use didn’t take the limelight, they were white, light and airy like agapanthus and spray roses, or hydrangea placed deep in arrangements to give them substance.
Sunny’s bouquet was a sensation, she had a clear idea that it needed to be full and generous to work with her gorgeous Vera Wang dress. But that didn’t mean it had to be floral; thistles, scabiosa balls and wax flowers were mixed in with spray roses, agapanthus and an odd hydrangea.
For the Table centres we made these stunning candelabra. We didn’t get a professional shot of these unfortunately but hopefully you can see all the varying foliages and colours and how they were still impactful.
