I love a city wedding so was thrilled to be doing the flowers for Nina and Craig’s elegant nuptials at Banking Hall, in the heart of the City of London.
After meeting this stylish couple I knew the flowers had to be romantic, but also refined and polished to reflect them. The displays were full and blowsy but not wild, so foliage was kept to a minimum. We achieved that soft texture with the different flowers instead. The containers were glass and we had added touches like crystal candlesticks to create that luxe feel.
Flower-wise we had full, generous displays of white hydrangea, blowsy garden roses, dahlia, snap dragons and a vibrant pop of yellow from Vanilla Sky roses. This added a cool, contemporary edge to the softness. The inspiration was the stunning feature floor in Banking Hall and was a theme that continued throughout the whole day like the little bottles of Limoncello as favours.
Nina’s bouquet was a sensation, it worked beautifully with her dress which was just stunning. You can see the lovely train in the snaps below. Craig’s buttonhole worked perfectly with his suit, very dapper!
I absolutely loved the Reception set up. The black square tables were a modern touch and worked so well with the floor, creating impact and drama. We had varying sizes of cubes vases, each filled with a soft dome of the featured flowers. The finishing touches were crystal candlesticks and tea lights. Modern luxe.
