Don’t you just love a summer wedding?! Rhona and Pete’s beautiful day was all about the romance of delicate summer flowers and we felt the love! Garden roses, peonies, sweet peas, scabiosa and astilbe. Clematis and nigella hovered above the arrangements like butterflies. Even alliums popped up!
We wanted to add elements of a country garden to the stunning formal setting that this the Caledonian Club so used formal candelabra and silver bowls filling them them pretty summer flowers.
To keep things relaxed there was no colour palette, we kept it fresh and summery by mixing pastels. Adding the light blue muscari in Rhona’s bouquet really lifted it. I like to add a pop of colour to pastels to keep them modern and unexpected so you will see incredible coral peonies in the table arrangements.
The challenge for me was not to use hydrangea! Rhona is not a fan and we were going for a lighter, airier look. But looking at these pictures I’m really glad we used more delicate, whimsical meadow flowers to create this wedding.
The beautiful images are by Kristen Mavric. I hope you enjoy them.
