Christina and Ben’s beautiful wedding at Gaynes Park was an autumnal feast for the eyes, and for me working away in the October sunshine, putting it together was an absolute joy.
These beautiful shots are by Damian Bailey and they capture the colourful, textured arrangements perfectly. This informal, vintage style is so romantic and works perfectly at Gaynes Park, a country barn in Essex.
Christina and Ben, such a lovely couple, wanted a relaxed, vintage look for the flowers that would suit the barn but still be stunning. We wanted the flowers to celebrate the autumn and to capture the colours on the turn. We used seasonal flowers like English hydrangea and dahlia in dark reds, mossy greens and rusty oranges with accents of a Cherry Brandy rose to make the combinations sing. Seasonal foliage and berries added texture and depth. The eclectic glass vases arranged in clusters create the informal look that works so well with these colours. They’re from my prized vintage collection and I love seeing them overflowing with flowers!Christina’s gorgeous bouquet of hydrangea, roses, dahlia and astilbe Vintage flowers display for the Drink Reception in the Orangery Table centre of mixed vintage vases containing English hydrangea, crab apples, roses and dahlia Top Table display of eclectic vases covered the width of the table
