Adline & Clement are a wonderful creative couple with fabulous taste, I absolutely loved doing their flowers and coming up with fresh ideas for them. The aesthetics were important to this artistic couple but they also wanted to create a warm, informal atmosphere and so they had plenty of charming details that made the day really personal to them.
Making the arrangements was so much fun to do as it was very much my signature style, vintage tea cups and glassware filled with seasonal summer flowers, with herbs and foliage for texture. Garden roses, peonies and hydrangea were the focus with softness from astilbe and lisianthus. The displays were relaxed but pretty and romantic, arranged informally in the Old Kitchen. The room looked and smelt divine!
The colours in Adline’s were actually quite bold. We started with a vintage, washed out palette of dusky pinks and muted tea stained colours along with lilacs and creams, but then added peach in the form of Juliet, a garden rose. I love adding a surprise in the palette, it’s unexpectedness is refreshing and stops the palette from being too girly.
The pictures from the wedding are beautiful, I hope you enjoy them. Looking at them now reminds how much I enjoyed it. And isn’t Adline one of the most beautiful brides ever??!!
